Hawaii Woodwork

Kahi is a relative newcomer to the woodworking art world; however, he’s taken his natural creative talents and created a style all his own.

Kahi is forging a path of his own in woodworking by combining traditional woodworking techniques with new, experimental ones.  Taking his experience and talents from other forms of art media, he creates modern, organic woodwork.  Each piece of artwork has its own story through a combination of its origin, history and inspiration.

Having only begun woodworking in 2007, Kahi has already garnered amazing feedback on his work including Honorable Mention Awards at the 2008 HFIA Hawaii’s Woodshow at the Hawaii Convention Center and the 2009 HFIA Hawaii’s Woodshow at the Academy Art Center.  He also received a SFCA Recognition Award at the Hawaii Craftsmen’s 41st Annual Statewide Juried Exhibition.  The award-winning wood piece was purchased and is currently a part of the Hawaii State Art Museum collection.

Woodwork is available for purchase, but is in limited supply.  Kahi is also available for commissioned pieces.
